Moto-Vlogging Set Up

So not too too long ago I was starting out in the world of moto-vlogging. I spent hours and hours combing the web and YouTube to get myself set up. Since I've been through it now I figured why not share some things I learned along the way.

So I hopped on Amazon and got everything I needed, having an Amazon Prime membership helped with free shipping and better prices. So without further ado here's the stuff you'll need. Afterwards we'll jump into some "How To" videos.

Heading to San Francisco

So the past two weeks have been a little nutty at work but tomorrow I set off to go tackle Highway 36 again out of Red Bluff, CA over to the coast at Fortuna, CA and then take Highway 1 (Pacific Coast Highway) down to San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge. So look forward to some awesome video of the trip and my hike through the Redwoods and Central California.

A ride out Mule Town Road from Placer street near Igo.

So I went on a hike out Mule Town Road today and enjoyed the other side of the DualSport. It got rough, but it was always fun. Fun ride, here's some video from the ride with a bit of commentary along the way.

Video Road Map of Northern California

So if you hadn't guessed by now, I'm making a Video Road Map of Northern California.  This isn't something I do every day or every week, it's just something I'd like to do over the summer to suggest some local rides in the area.  I'm hoping by the end of summer I can cover some of the best ride locations North of San Francisco and South of the Oregon border.

Fern Road in Whitmore over to Oak Run

So I've covered part of this before in another video segment but here's a look at Fern Road in Whitmore over to Oak Run. Nice casual ride, plenty of shade through the trees. Perfect for that Sunday drive. Fun ride, here's some video from the ride with a bit of commentary along the way.

Inwood Road in Shingletown through Anselmo Vineyards to Ponderosa Road over to Whitmore

This is by far one of my favorite rides in the area. I literally take it at least once a week. A short hike up to Shingletown and then some twisties over to Whitmore through Ponderosa Road. Make a day out of it and stop by Anselmo Vineyards! Fun ride, here's some video from the ride with a bit of commentary along the way.

Black Butte Road in Shingletown to Manton Road then down 36 to Red Bluff

So I hiked up to Shingletown to get some fresh air and stopped up near Black Butte to take a ride down the backside.  Met up with Manton Road and then took the eastern part of Highway 36 down to Red Bluff. Fun ride, here's some video from the ride with a bit of commentary along the way.

From Red Bluff to Bowman Road on Highway 36

So this is another part of Highway 36 I didn't cover in my trip out to the Coast so I thought I'd upload it. It's the faster part of 36 with lots of "sweepers".  Fun ride, here's some video from the ride with a bit of commentary along the way.

At the coast in Eureka after my trip through Redwood Highway

So since I wasn't riding in this video the audio wasn't quite as shitty, although it's still fairly bad.  I take a little break since I'm at the coast and do a little shout out to a fellow MotoVlogger named AccidentalBroadcast on youtube. Fun ride, here's some video from the ride with a bit of commentary along the way.

From Platina to the Pacific Ocean on Highway 36 from Bowman Road

So I had a couple of days off in a row last week and I decided I wanted to take the WR for a ride.  I hiked down to Bowman Road in Cottonwood and then headed out Highway 36. Took a stop in Platina and started recording some of my ride.  I ended up scrapping the second half of the video because at this point my audio setup wasn't great. The trip took me out 36 to Fortuna and up the 101 to Eureka and back, all in one day. Fun ride, here's some video from the ride with a bit of commentary along the way.

Dersch Road to Parkville and Ash Creek Road to Coleman Fish Hatchery

So on my way back down from Shingletown on a ride I cut through Parkville and Ash Creek Road through Coleman Fish Hatchery on the way home. Audio isn't great sorry. Fun ride, here's some video from the ride with a bit of commentary along the way.

Ride up through Whitmore and Oak Run

So I hiked up from Redding to Whitmore and took Oak Run Road over to Oak Run and back down. Fun ride, here's some video from the ride with a bit of commentary along the way.
